Icon Homes Building Proceess

Icon Homes

When the owner of Icon Homes, LLC., Charles Hughes, came to us needing video of his custom homes for their corporate website, we were ready. We worked closely with Icon to brainstorm ideas about how to produce videos that distinguish Icon Homes from other custom home builders in a very competitive market.  Digital Vineyard worked with Icon Homes to outline video episodes that capture the entire building process from start to finish.  We also recommended virtual tours of each of the finished homes along with interviews and testimonials of Icon Homes very satisfied customers.

In order to help improve Icon Homes search engine optimization (SEO), Digital Vineyard set up a well crafted YouTube channel for the company.  The videos we are producing for Icon Homes are now driving traffic to their corporate website while improving their visibility directly in relevant on-line web searches.

The Don Derby EPK

Don Derby Train Station

For Don Derby’s electronic press kit (EPK) we had two days to capture an live stage performance of over 14 songs with an eight piece band in front of a viewing audience.

There were several challenges with this production. One was to get close-up shots of the band without the camera crew interfering with or being visible to the live audience that would be watching the show. To accomplish this, we worked with the band before the show and had four high-definition cameras capturing multiple angles of the performance on stage with only a single run-through during the dress rehearsal.  This allowed us to focus on the audience and their reactions during the live performance without getting between those viewing and the stage.

Another challenge was to capture several various location interviews and simulated music video looks without going to the expense of shooting a music video.  We utilized a middle Tennessee classic car rental company’s remote and scenic location to do both of these efficiently and only a half-day of additional production.

The biggest challenge we faced on this production was matching the live performance video to the album audio tracks. The band did not play to the same tempo as the original album recordings. Thanks to the excellent editing tools and brilliant work of Mayfield Mastering, the original 24bit album tracks were seamlessly stretched to closely match the performance videos.

Don came to us with about two weeks notice of an artist showcase for music industry executives.

World's Strongest Redneck - DigitalRodeo.com

The Worl's Strongest Redneck

Steve McGranahan is The World's Strongest Redneck, and it has nothing to do with how often he bathes. This guy is HUGE and is amazing to watch as he displays his unique demonstrations of hand and upper body strength, mixed with some good old fashioned Southern humor. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet... thank goodness! Shot in beautiful downtown Nashville, Tennessee, this was yet another last minute shoot, but this time fully in high definition and LIVE, on the street. It is a very candid look at Steve McGranahan and how he can entertain total strangers. This was done directly in front of the "Cadillac Ranch" restaurant and bar. What a fun evening with director Glenn Sweitzer and the DigitalRodeo.com crew.

Guys, thank you so much for including Digital Vineyard in this video production.

Rascal Flatts Milk Rocks Promo

To get any opportunity to work with Rascall Flatts is amazing. Digital Vineyard was hired on short notice to work with Glenn Sweitzer putting together a "cartoonish" promotion for milkrocks.com. The humor that Gary, Joe Don, and Jay bring to the shoot is obvious and appropriate for this spot. With limited time and a few "TV Tracks", we were able to do some fun composites with layers and effects that fit right in to the milkrocks.com website.

In order to maximize productivity, we also used this back-stage shoot to get a shot for Disney and CMT's "Bob That Head" video contest promotional. The original footage we were handed had some serious lighting issues (understandable given the circumstances)... but of greater concern was that we only had a few un-choreographed head bobbing seconds of the band. (We needed about 20 and got about 10). This left us with only a couple of options, one of which was to slow down the "head bobs" and try to do an approximate sync with the recorded studio tracks. We will work with anything.

To round out our efficiency on this single shoot, we were asked to deliver Rascal Flatts' ring tones, so we had each band member read their ringtone script for the camera, and with a little post production audio magic, "voila"... Rascal Flatts ringtones telling you to "... PICK UP THE PHONE"! Very fun indeed.

Thank you Rascall Flatts and Glenn Sweitzer (producer) for allowing us to help out on this project.
